E / Sylvain Baumann’s in situ installation is an architectural diagram representing the inner walls of the gallery at three different scales. Drawing the contours of the surfaces in space, the structures suggest in negative the partitioning of a virtual architecture. The three models, reintroduced within the very reality they represent, create a new visual dynamic. The proximity relationship allowing the motif and model, the real and its representation, the container and the content to be evaluated jointly, gives the viewer the possibility to make his own connections. These original reports will thus lead him to make a return on the conditions of his perception of space.

F / L’installation in situ de Sylvain Baumann est un schéma architectural représentant à trois échelles différentes les parois internes de la galerie. Dessinant dans l’espace les contours des surfaces, les structures suggèrent en négatif le cloisonnement d’une architecture virtuelle. Les trois modèles, réintroduits au sein même du réel qu’ils représentent, instaurent une nouvelle dynamique visuelle. Le rapport de proximité permettant d’évaluer conjointement le motif et le modèle, le réel et sa représentation, le contenant et le contenu, donne au spectateur la possibilité de faire ses propres mises en relations. Ces rapports originaux l’amèneront ainsi à effectuer un retour sur les conditions de sa perception de l’espace.
